More About Our Sessions
Sign up to present sessions at Podcamp Philly are still open! If you are interested in presenting, just sign up as a speaker in Eventbrite, fill out the form, and you should be good to go! If you have any questions, drop us an email at podcampp@gmail.com.
One of the sessions I am looking forward to is by Annie Heckenberger of Philly's own Red Tettemer and formerly of the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation. Annie put together BlogPhiladelphia last year, and has been hugely supportive of Podcamp.
Annie's presentation is entitiled, "How to use social media for business AND be a real person while doing so." She describes the sessions as being about maintaining authenticity in social media and business. It will also cover the ethics of social media, exposing the dark side by shedding light on things like: landgrabbing in new communities, astroturfing and brandjacking. (No, No, and NO! )
We're also really pleased that Jay Berkowitz of the Ten Golden Rules, will be presenting on The Ten Hottest Strategies in New Media Marketing. His sessions, and those of Podcamp Co-Founder, Chris Penn, also known for the Financial Aid Podcast and Marketing Over Coffee, on New Media Marketing, go hand in hand to helping you take your company, product, website or other project to the next level.
Other sessions you should check out:
Sri Nagubandi & Nataliya Yakushev are presenting a session on Social Media Optimization- dealing with making your website acessible to social media and people friendly.
Sura Hart will be presenting on SEO for Non-profits: Effective Online Outreach- how non-profits can gain more impact online- this looks like a must for anyone involved with community organizations of any size.
